During regular court business hours, bond is accepted at the 89th District Court office. The court is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please note that the court only accepts cash for bond. If you would like to post bond with a credit card or a debit card, you will need to go to the Cheboygan County Sheriff Department to post bond at their kiosk.
After hours, bond is accepted at the Cheboygan County Sheriff Department. You may post via a kiosk just inside the door at the Sheriff Department or you may step to their counter where someone will help you. (NOTE: If posting bond at the kiosk, you may first need to talk to a department employee to let them know). Additionally, if posting bond as a third party, you will need to make sure you sign the appropriate paperwork to make certain that the bond is put in your name.
