About Cheboygan County

Where Lake Huron meets the north woods.

Cheboygan County sits at the tip of Michigan's Lower Peninsula, spanning more than 700 square miles of forest, inland lakes, and Great Lakes shoreline. Home to roughly 25,000 residents and the county seat of Cheboygan, the County has served Northern Michigan since its founding in 1855.

From the Cheboygan State Park lighthouse to the Black Mountain recreation area, residents and visitors enjoy four-season access to some of Michigan's best natural areas.
